TESTIMONIALS

“Andrew Binnell has been supporting Buttsbury Junior School since May 2013 and has played a pivotal role in our journey from ‘requires improvement’ to ‘good with outstanding features’. He has helped the school improve in all aspects and has shared many innovative ideas which have had a very positive impact on school life. Andrew has developed leaders at every level and ensured that the school continues to challenge itself. Many staff have also attended the CPD opportunities provided by Impetus Education and these have also had a significant impact.”

“Buttsbury Junior School has been working with Impetus Education for over 10 years, engaging the support of Andrew, and a range of his consultants, too. During the 10 years, the school has had four Ofsted inspections and moved from Requires Improvement to Outstanding. Impetus Education has been with us on that journey and provided high level support with quality of teaching; leadership and management; staff and trust board training; HT PMR. The provision has been outstanding – and – in a nutshell – if we are looking for support or advice in any aspect, I simply drop an email to Andrew and we generally have something in the diary almost immediately.”

Ann Robinson: Headteacher: Buttsbury Junior School, Billericay, Essex

“Andrew and the team at Impetus have been invaluable in successfully developing middle and senior leaders in carrying out their roles at South Green over the last three years. Andrew has also provided expert guidance and support to our Governing Body; developing their understanding of school evaluation and in coaching them to undertake Ofsted style interviews with confidence. What we appreciate most about working with Andrew is his ability to cut through to the most pertinent points for development and deliver targeted support that results in immediate improvement in performance for all those involved.”

– Liz Benjeddi, Headteacher: South Green Junior School

“Impetus Education has been very influential in supporting our Teachers at Churchill school with developing their subject leadership. Andrew is always very clear with what this entailed and provided lots of information along with his bespoke documents. He really built up their confidence on how to articulate their subject and they thoroughly appreciated his support in understanding how a deep dive is conducted. Andrew’s English and SENCO Lead have also been very supportive. They were both very knowledgeable in these areas and have provided excellent advice on the next steps.”

Chris Komodromos: Headteacher: Churchill Special Free School, Haverhill, Suffolk

Impetus Education is the School Adviser we always wanted. They helped us to prepare for OFSTED but offer so much more in terms of school improvement and development. Staff really enjoy working with the Team and we feel that they are there for us whenever needed. Sometimes being a Head is lonely but the advice and support offered is priceless.

Ruth Boon: Headteacher: Our Lady Of Lourdes, Catholic Primary School, Wanstead, London Borough of Redbridge

Impetus has been working with Shenfield St Mary’s for eight years.  The Impetus team has had a significant impact on a variety of school areas, mainly as a result of developing middle leadership.  The subject leaders now have a clear understanding of their roles and responsibilities, they fully understand the strengths and areas for development in their subjects and have made steady incremental changes to strengthen the curriculum and therefore improving outcomes for pupils.  They showed great confidence and presented with clarity in our Ofsted inspection in March 2023.  The development of subject leaders was as a result of a highly effective partnership between Impetus and the school’s senior leadership team.

In addition, the Impetus school improvement partner has provided consistent challenge to ensure the school continued to maintain its high standards and continued to provide an excellent all round educational experience for its pupils.

St John XXIII has worked with Andrew and his team at Impetus for the last few years. The support has been excellent, not only have our staff received excellent CPD, but they feel more confident in their roles as leaders and had their workload reduced through the introduction of clear, concise and easy to use templates.

As a Head Teacher, Andrew has worked with me as a coach, mentor and critical friend. The advice and support received has strengthened my leadership and supported us in being an ‘outward facing school’ by looking at ways that we can share our best practice with others.

We look forward to continuing our journey with Andrew and his team over the coming years.

Karen Cunningham, Executive Headteacher: St John XXIII Catholic Primary School,  London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham

I would like to extend my thanks to Andrew for his high quality subject leader and management training. It has energised our staff to review our leadership skills and fabulous preparation for our future inspection. The staff were very engaged throughout and felt so well informed – a huge thank you. It has been a real success, and we look forward to working with Impetus next year too. Our staff team are saying, it was the best subject leader training they have ever had. We really appreciated Andrew’s humour and direct feedback and the immediate impact his training had on the school – it was excellent.

Debbie Norton, Headteacher: Wellington Primary, London Borough of  Hounslow

We have had the pleasure of welcoming Andrew and his team to our school. Before Andrew’s school development focus  our school was moving towards securing good outcomes and a good provision for pupils. We wanted more. More for our community, more for our staff and more for our children. It was Andrew who brought us this.

The direct coaching and development of leaders changed our practice, changed our thinking and we were given the gift of professional challenge  within an understanding of context and locality.

Andrew and his team provided us with processes  and systems that brought consistency in leadership. We could see what we needed to do next week, next month and over the next few years for our school, our pupils.

Staff relished their time with Andrew. They felt listened to but guided in their motivation for change.

As a result our school is now working on more than just good enough. We are working on greatness., on providing outstanding outcomes and outstanding provision for our pupils. We believe anything is possible and it’s Andrew and his team who have ignited that mission at our school.
