Sue Cox- I have extensive experience as an education adviser, with a specialist focus on special educational needs, behaviour, and safeguarding. My background includes senior leadership in both mainstream and alternative provision, as well as time working in a Pupil Referral Unit (PRU).As an inspector, I work across a wide range of educational settings, including primary, secondary, special schools, and a broad spectrum of SEND provision such as ASD, MLD, SLD, SPLD, HI, PMLD, PD, SLC, VI, BESD, and PRUs. I also inspect EYFS and Early Years Provision. My work is driven by a deep commitment to inclusion and ensuring that all children— regardless of background or need—have access to high-quality, safe, and supportive education. I bring a practical, experienced perspective to all the settings I work with, offering tailored guidance and support to help schools strengthen their provision and outcomes for pupils with additional needs
