40 years of experience as a teacher, local authority expert teacher, NLE/ NSS, executive head, pupil premium reviewer, Teaching school lead and MAT CEO. Elected member of first RSC headteacher board in Eastern region. Twelve years’ service on LA school forum. Awarded the OBE for services to education in Queen Elizabeth II’s 90th birthday honours’ list. Five years’ service as a SIAMS inspector. Commissioned lead inspector for Ofsted (inspectors who are serving practitioners only act as inspectors when undertaking inspections for Ofsted).
