Disadvantaged Learners (Including More Able…): Ofsted Focus
As you know this group of learners have become a particular focus for Ofsted Inspectors and their performance in your school have a very high profile in the school’s current Raise Online. In my visits to schools to analyse data and validate their ambitions, I advise schools to be doing something different specifically to monitor the progress of this group of learners. As a result Impetus has created a review package of support delivered by Sue Cox (Impetus Consultant and current Registered Ofsted Inspector: https://impetus-education.co.uk/team/sue-cox/ ) Sue will spend a half or full day in your school to review current practice and suggest some next steps working with the school team. Lesson study
Many schools are engaging in supported Lesson Study as an extremely powerful model for building capacity in reflective teaching, subject knowledge and effective systems. They use research lessons as a vehicle for building powerful learning in classrooms. Impetus has the capacity to enable you to develop this in your school.
