Case Study 2 - Winchcombe Abbey Primary, Gloucestershire
Impetus has supported the journey of this school from a ‘requiring improvement’ grading in September 2012 (school self-evaluation), to ‘good’, and then an Ofsted validated ‘outstanding’ overall effectiveness in March 2017. The school also received an ‘outstanding’ overall effectiveness judgement in it’s SIAMS Section 48 Church School Inspection in 2017. Support provided has included headteacher / senior leader performance management reviews, data analysis and target setting validation, lesson dips and validations of school leaders’ judgements / book scrutinies to validate leaders’ judgements, SIAMS Church School inspection reviews, and governor training.
"We have worked with Impetus for over 6 years. The support, challenge and guidance for my whole school community, governors, leaders, teachers and teaching assistants, was pivotal to the school’s success when inspected earlier this year when we were judged to be ‘outstanding’. Andrew is always highly professional and supportive, and incredibly adaptive to the needs of his audience. Thank you."
